Other roles that you could hire for include promoters. Hire someone like college students to work part time to help your company get branding. They will essentially be the guys in the street letting people know about your web site. They can go to different newsgroups to spread the word and to find those that may be in the industry to partner with.
Become an avid discussion group member. Not only do you get a chance to talk with potential customers but provide help and advise. They will begin to trust in what you have to offer and may become curious about your web site.
Just as printed publications are large sources of advertisements, online publications offer the same. Look at starting a small Ezine about the industry you are in. This is a great way to get a listing of customer email addresses to offer special promotions, sales or just let them know your business is still up and running.
Check out review sites and directories and start promoting your web site. This is also a good way to see if your business has received bad reviews. You can offer up corrections and advice on how to avoid the problems that the bad reviewer might have gone through. Use the technology available like search engines to find more businesses like your own and see if they would be willing to share any tips they learned.
